Figure Friday – September 11th-17th.
This is the Figure Friday post for the dates of September 11th till September 17th. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year (Rosh HaShana), and may you have a good year (Shana tova!)
This is also the source of the slight delay of this post; family gatherings, including some which got their dates moved. I even tried to post this from my family’s, but it didn’t go well. I managed to insert the first figure’s posts and then it crapped out on me.
As always, click on the first picture to go to a site with more information on the figures (usually Nekomagic), and the pictures after the description for the Flickr page, with bigger photos.
Five Hot:
1.
Definitely my figure for the week. Cast-offable, though it might actually require the body to be swapped out as a whole. Love the design of her dress, detailed yet dynamic. She has a pretty face and nice hair.
Also, she fulfills what I want from a cast-offable model: I like her both dressed and undressed. Though her hair might seem to be a tad big with her clothes off, but that’s life.
This also gives me hope in regards to seeing “La campanella della benedizione Chelsea Arcot 1/6 GK by Volks Turn A-brand” as a PVC figure.
Winter 2009, 220mm, 7,500 yen. Volks Web Store exclusive; preorders taken since August 25th. You’ll need to use deputy services.
More pictures after the “More” tag, not all safe for work.
Figure Friday – August 21st-27th
We have some news and sales for you at the bottom, so be sure to read it all (the exciting sale lasts for only 30 hours or so more). As always, click on the first picture for more photos, the photos at the end are linked to Flickr.
Post is not entirely Safe For Work.

This is probably the best figure of the week, by far. The face is stunning, very well done lips, great eyes, expression, sculpting… the hair is not bad either. I’m actually happy they toned down the purple of her body-suit. Great creases. Just stunning. Someone wants to buy it for me? ![]()
Character designed by Shunya Yamashita, which I am hearing I should follow.
January 2010, 340 mm, 11,800 yen. For this size? For this quality? Worth it.

Figure Friday – Week in Review.
I think I may have chewed a bit too much off, certainly this Friday, as I’m way behind on school-work, but here I am.
I plan to try and go during Fridays on exciting figures that caught my eye, or figures that are real stinkers. I will discuss figures that have recently been released, figures up to pre-order, re-stock figures, etc.
I will mainly reference Hobby Search, because their site is nice to look at, easy to navigate, and sends me emails on a timely basis, letting me find stuff out with ease.
Kumo‘s blog and Nekomagic are two other sources for pictures I will use here, so I’d like to time to thank them via this blog-post.
At the end of the post, there will be a poll, and some open questions, please take the time to give me feedback, at least if you care to see this again.
This post is image-heavy, understandably.
Stuff up for order:
(You can click on the figures to go to pages where you can usually see more pictures of theirs. And information, like what series the figure is from.)
This figure is a limited re-release for November 2009. 10,000 yen! I like the normal version better, but as it’s slightly more “goth” than the original version, and is limited, I’m sure it’ll get picked up like hot-cakes.
